OCC Apparel – Frequently Asked Questions

We make it simple, ethical, and stress-free to create premium sustainable merchandise for your brand.

1) What’s your standard turnaround time?

Average turnaround is 2–3 weeks from artwork approval and payment. During peak seasons or for complex jobs, allow 3–4 weeks. Rush options are often possible—tell us your deadline when you enquire.

2) Do you have minimum order quantities (MOQs)?

Local decoration: no strict minimums—small runs are welcome. Offshore custom production: MOQs and longer lead times apply.

3) Which brands do you supply?

We focus on ethical leaders: Earth Positive, Stanley/Stella, and AS Colour, plus complementary sustainable options.

4) Which decoration methods do you offer?

Water-based screen printing, plastisol screen printing, embroidery, digital (DTG/DTF), heat press, relabelling, and finishing. We’ll recommend the best method for your fabric, artwork, and budget.

5) Embroidery or print—how do I choose?
  • Embroidery: caps, beanies, structured garments.
  • Screen printing (water-based): soft, breathable prints on tees and sweats.
  • DTG/DTF: fine detail and gradients.

Our production team will guide you.

6) What artwork files do you need?

Provide vector files (AI, EPS, or PDF) with text outlined and Pantone C colours. If you only have JPG/PNG, we can usually redraw.

7) Will I see a proof before production?

Yes—every decorated order includes a digital mock-up for approval before we begin.

8) How do I get a quote or place an order?

Email your style, colour, quantity, and artwork, or complete our online order form. We’ll send a clear quote and proof before production.

9) When do I pay?

Orders are booked once payment and artwork approval are complete. Account terms are available for approved B2B clients.

10) Where are you located? Can I visit?

11) Do you ship nationally or internationally?

Yes—daily shipping across Australia and New Zealand. International freight can be arranged on request.

12) What are offshore production lead times?

Allow 3–6 months, including sampling and transit, for custom offshore programs.

13) Can you help me choose the right garment?

Absolutely. Tell us your purpose, budget, and deadline—we’ll curate the ideal range from our ethical brands.

14) Do you handle relabelling and brand finishing?

Yes—neck prints, woven labels, swing tags, and sustainable packaging for a retail-ready finish.

15) Can you decorate caps, bags, and accessories?

Yes—embroidery and digital transfer locally, plus fully custom offshore options (MOQs apply).

16) Can I mix colours, styles, and sizes?

Yes—pricing is based on total quantity across styles/colours/sizes, not per line.

17) My artwork has gradients and fine detail—will that work?

We’ll recommend DTG or DTF for fine detail/gradients, or simplify for screen print if needed.

18) How is pricing calculated?

Garment choice, decoration method, number of colours/locations, and total quantity. All quotes are itemised and transparent.

19) Can you meet my deadline?

Usually, yes—tell us early. Feasibility depends on stock, schedule, and artwork readiness.

20) What makes OCC Apparel “ethical”?

We source from certified sustainable brands (GOTS, Fair Wear, Climate-Neutral, GRS) and prioritise premium, long-life garments to extend wear, reduce waste, and maximise brand impact.

21) Is OCC Apparel an official dealer for Stanley/Stella and Earth Positive?

Yes — OCC Apparel is the official and exclusive authorised distributor of Stanley/Stella and Earth Positive in Australia and New Zealand. That means every garment you order through us is supplied directly from the official brand channels, ensuring authenticity, traceability, and full ethical certification. We also collaborate closely with the brands’ European HQs to align launches, colour updates, and seasonal availability for AU/NZ.

22) When was OCC Apparel founded — and what was the first brand you represented?

OCC Apparel was founded in 2004 with a clear mission: to make sustainable, ethically-produced apparel accessible to every brand. Our first distributed brand was Beneficial T’s by Patagonia — an early pioneer in certified organic cotton and Fair Trade garment production. That partnership laid the foundation for the values we still live by today: transparency, sustainability, and design that lasts. Few people know this — but it’s part of what makes OCC Apparel one of the most experienced ethical apparel specialists in the world.

23) Does OCC Apparel offer drop shipping or same-day print-on-demand services?

No — OCC Apparel does not offer drop shipping or same-day print-on-demand. We understand the appeal and convenience of those models, and we’ve explored them extensively with our clients. However, in every case, the profit margins simply don’t stack up compared to producing a minimum run using screen printing. Our approach focuses on quality, sustainability, and brand longevity — creating premium garments that deliver real value per unit and a lasting brand impression.
